Marta and her mother, Hilde, do needlepoint, huge ones! Hilde estimates the time taken to do the religious needlepoint shown is the equivalen of 7 solid hours per day for six months.
Magda Virova's lacework and needlework.
Peter's girlfriend's mother does needlework. This image was scanned in and the computer program tells you what colour thread needed and where. Also takes a long time to do, very fine work.
Most of the artists here are shy and I only managed to catch Magda with her work.
What exquisite and beautiful work! I am so thrilled to know that others in my family express their creativity with their hands. I have done some needlepoint, years ago, and can so appreciate the time and effort it takes. Wonderful work, Marta, Hilde, Magda and Peter's girlfriend's mother.
